Another mishap for Peter Baylis

Peter Baylis and Anthony Blyth had a good finish on the Tempest Stages clubman event, finishing a creditable 8th overall and 8th in class. This was achieved even with the damage you see below and a wrong route at a split leading to a stage maximum time.

The event was a run through of a number of the usual Stages, however, at Longmoor a couple of the old stages were joined to make a single long one, with gravel separated by a small tarmac section. Unfortunately it was in the tarmac section and running on gravel tyres that caused the team to career off in to an electrical power sub-station. Luckily there is only superficial damage and they hope to be ready for February and  the start of the season. (The guys would like to thank Russ Burton who kindly lent his sandwich back as a temporary headlight lens!)

The event is part of the BTRDA championship and covers 45 miles of loose surface tracks. Peter and Anthony finished 36th overall and 14th in class N4.

Peter & Anthony's Accident on the Red Dragon Stages 2005

Unfortunately we have encountered yet more problems this year, not only was the car rebuilt for March this year, but we now have to start all over again. Our accident on the red dragon means that we have to procure a new shell and start the re-build process all over again. Lets just hope that we have learnt a bit from having done it before and that this time round we can handle the task quicker.
